“[Case method teaching] makes the lessons more exciting and student-driven, and I have found that students leave the classes with a stronger understanding of the material than a simple lecture or reading could provide.” — CMI partner teacher
This summer, the Case Method Institute will host a professional development program that features a fully funded, in-person event led by award-winning Professor David Moss. The PD program is intended for teachers who want to start teaching cases next school year. It will cover the theory and practice of case method teaching through independent preparatory coursework and in-person sessions. Participating teachers from across the country will gather for the event, which will take place at Harvard Business School on July 6-7, 2026. Professor Moss is planning to lead a case discussion and provide an advance look at the eagerly awaited book he’s currently writing on the case method. Veteran CMI partner teachers will be there as well to share their experiences and welcome teachers into our community. CMI will cover costs associated with travel, lodging, and meals.
The Case Method Institute also offers a fully asynchronous version of the program, available to start at your convenience.
Regardless of which path you take, the Institute covers all expenses, including the cost of the professional development programs, the cases and other teaching materials, and ongoing support from our team.
